Christ The Redeemer *****
At the Corcovado Mountain - The best view of Rio!!! The Train costs R$ 35,00 and is the safest way to reach to the top. From El Misti Hotel rio de janeiro: Buses: 583 & 584. Get off at the train station and then take the train up to the Christ Statue.
You can go with the hostels taxi driver for R$35,00 per person. - It includes all the round trip from/to El Mistii and the entrance ticket.
Maracaná Football Stadium *****
See a live soccer game in the largest stadium in the world (100.000 seating capacity). It is one of the best parties in Rio. You can also visit the museum. Bus: Take the bus that says Maracaná on the opposite side of the street of the Botafogo Praia Shopping Center. During the week you can go by metro. Get off at Maracaná Station.

Sunset at the Pão De Açucar *****
(Sugar Loaf) - This beautiful attraction is just a short walk from El Misti. The Cable Car costs R$ 36, 00. If you have time, try to hike to the top of URCA hill and pay half price to the next mountain (Morro da Urca). It is a beautiful trail.
Sundays on the beaches in Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon *****
During sundays these beaches are closed to traffic and becomes a great pedestrian street where you can meet Cariocas on some of the most famous beaches of Brazil. More Cariocas spend time on the beach on Sundays than in church! Best spot: Posto 9, "Barraca do Pele" (Pele Tent), just in front of the Sol Ipanema Hotel. This is a great place to rent a beach chair, have drinks and enjoy the beach. People at "Barraca do Pele" will keep your belongings safe when you want to swim or take a walk around. Advice: do not take too much money, huge cameras, passports, documents, airplane tickets or any important belonging. Buses: 175/177/S-20/2016 will take you there. |
